We are looking forward to another incredible summer and are thrilled to be debuting our kickoff to the season on June 22nd! Here to best answer your questions, please see our FAQ below for all things parking, RSVP and food vendors. See you soon!

Q: Do I need to RSVP?

A: RSVP’s are REQUIRED for WATER BROTHER: THE SID ABBRUZZI STORY

Q: Will there be food vendors?

A: Yes! So much delicious food served in compostable materials will be available this summer!

Q: Where can I park?

A: Because every film screens in a different outdoor location, parking changes depending on the venue. Some venues have parking and some have very little. The individual film pages will specify parking opportunities so you can plan accordingly. We always encourage ride sharing and other forms of transportation when possible. We have bike racks at every event. We recommend arriving early when parking is tight.

Q: Can I bring kids?

A: Everyone is welcome at newportFILM Outdoors events! We encourage you to read the film synopsis and watch the trailer (if available) to make sure the film is a fit for the kids in your life.

Q; Are there seats?

A: No. Our films are screened at iconic outdoor locations that offer wonderful greenspace perfect for your picnic blankets and beach chairs.

Q: Can I bring in my own food?

A: Of course! newportFILM is all about picnics. Bring your own or purchase some great food from our local vendors – you decide!

Q: Will there be popcorn?

A: You bet! We will be serving popcorn up until the film starts. And yes, it’s still free!

Q: What’s CARRY IN / CARRY OUT?

A: We think it’s important that we leave as little footprint as possible at the beautiful greenspaces we are enjoying. So, we ask that you carry out with you whatever you carry in. (You’d be surprised what gets left behind.) Don’t worry, we have Zero Waste Stations with compost, recycle and landfill receptacles staffed by friendly Green Team volunteers ready to help you sort it all out!

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: Every film has a backup rain venue. Once we make a call – with the help of every weather app and sailer available – we update our film page, send an eblast and post on social alerting of the change in venue. Sometimes it rains during the day, preventing us from setting up our technical gear, soaking the ground and making for unsafe conditions. Then it suddenly clears up. In most instances, we will still need to go inside. It makes us sad too.

Q: Is seating guaranteed if it rains?

A: Unfortunately not. Our backup rain venues have seating capacities so folks will be seated first come, first served.

Q: I or someone in my life has accessibility issues and I need more details about the venue and the event, what do I do?

A: Please contact us about specific accommodations you may need!

Q: I would like to volunteer at a newportFILM event.

A: What great news! Please complete this form and we will reach out!

Q: I have a question that you haven’t answered, what do I do?

A: Send us an email at info (at) newportfilm (dot) com or text or call us at 401-649-2784
