ABOUT THE FILM: A recent restoration of a 1924 Spanish Revival house reveals an amazing history of Palm Beach and the wider South Florida region.

La Claridad tells the story of a 1924 landmarked house. The film covers the recent restoration of La Claridad, and a compelling history of the region emerges as we discover the amazing history of the 1924 Spanish Revival house and the neighborhood in which it sits. In the 1920s The Everglades Club, Worth Avenue, and Golfview Road represented the avant-garde of architecture and design, and the look and feel of this neighborhood would help define Palm Beach for the next hundred years.

The house on Golfview Road was designed by Marion Sims Wyeth and was commissioned by utilities magnate Clarence Geist. The recent restoration was headed by Richard Sammons of Fairfax & Sammons. Former residents, historians, architects, and tradesmen join current owners Betsy and Paul Shiverick in an ensemble cast to tell a thought-provoking and amusing story of the house, the town of Palm Beach, and the wider South Florida region.
